Flexseals 280 Metallic

FLEXSEALS® 280 METALLIC is an asbestos-free gasketing sheet comprising aramid fibres bonded with NBR rubber and reinforced with a metal mesh insert. It offers excellent steam resistance with higher performance parameters, maintaining its seal up to +250°C.

The filler and the NBR compound, reinforced by the metal mesh insert, make these sheets ideal for use wherever flexibility is required alongside a perfectly smooth surface, whilst ensuring high performance.

Thanks to their high-quality composition, these gasketing sheets can be used in a wide range of applications within the petrochemical sector, oil production, the chemical industry, the food industry and the mechanical engineering sector.

Chemical and thermal resistance: This type of flat gasket is widely used in all industrial applications involving contact with most chemicals, oils and gases at moderate temperatures and low pressures. The flat gasket made from FLEXSEALS 280® METALLIC can be used to seal water, oils, coolants and basic chemicals in the petrochemical and oil industries.

Excellent workability: easy to die-cut and CNC-cut, ensuring precision even for complex geometries.

Temperature and pressure resistance: Flat gaskets made from compressed, asbestos-free fibres are suitable for use at moderate temperatures and pressures, and offer good chemical resistance.

Operating temperature: up to +250°C, depending on fluid type, pressure and applied load.
