FLEXIGRAF® FGS1200 is a flat gasket sheet made of pure expanded mineral graphite, reinforced with a smooth aluminium foil insert. The composition, based on pure graphite and reinforced with aluminium, offers improved mechanical strength. Ideal for use with high-temperature saturated steam and aggressive chemicals, provided the environment is non-oxidising.
Ideal for applications exposed to low to medium levels of chemical aggression (saturated steam, industrial oils, hot water, non-acidic technical gases); less suitable for use in highly corrosive environments (chlorides, strong acids) and high-pressure applications.
High thermal resistance: graphite is known for its electrical conductivity and low thermal conductivity, making it suitable for applications involving high-temperature saturated steam.
Superior stability and flexibility: the aluminium backing sheet provides a solid structure, giving the gasket additional mechanical strength and stability, thereby improving its performance in the most demanding applications.
Excellent workability: easy to die-cut and CNC-cut, ensuring precision even for complex geometries.
High resistance to high temperatures and pressures: Reinforced graphite flat gaskets are suitable for use in applications requiring high resistance to temperatures and pressures, as well as good chemical resistance.
Operating temperature: up to +550°C, depending on the type of fluid, the pressure and the applied load.
