UNIGRAPH® 500 is a gasketing sheet for flat gaskets made of pure expanded mineral graphite, coated with an external polymer film. The pure graphite composition offers improved mechanical strength. Ideal for use with high-temperature saturated steam and chemicals, provided the environment is non-oxidising. The high resistance to creep and high compressibility make these sheets suitable for demanding conditions in the chemical and petrochemical sectors, in gas pipelines and in pumps.
Ideal for applications involving low to medium chemical aggressiveness (saturated steam, industrial oils, hot water, non-acidic technical gases); less suitable for use in highly corrosive environments (chlorides, strong acids) and high-pressure applications.
High chemical and thermal resistance: graphite is known for its electrical conductivity and low thermal conductivity, making it suitable for applications involving high-temperature saturated vapours. The ideal maximum operating temperature for UNIGRAPH® 500 is approximately 450°C.
Excellent machinability: easy to die-cut and CNC-cut, ensuring precision even for complex geometries.
High resistance to high temperatures and pressures: graphite flat gaskets are suitable for use in applications requiring high resistance to temperatures and pressures, as well as good chemical resistance.
Operating temperature: up to +450°C, depending on the type of fluid, the pressure and the applied load.
