UNIGRAPH® 500 HD is a gasketing sheet made of high-density expanded pure mineral graphite, coated with an external polymer film. The pure graphite composition provides the product with superior mechanical strength. Ideal for use with high-temperature saturated steam and chemicals, provided that the environment is non-oxidising. The high resistance to slippage and high compressibility make these sheets suitable for demanding conditions in chemical and petrochemical sectors, gas pipelines and pumps.
Ideal for applications from low to medium chemical aggressiveness (saturated steam, industrial oils, hot water, non-acidic technical gases); less suitable for use in highly corrosive environments (chlorides, strong acids) and high-pressure applications.
High chemical and thermal resistance: graphite is known for its electrical conductivity and low thermal conductivity, making it suitable for applications involving high-temperature saturated vapours. The ideal maximum operating temperature for UNIGRAPH® 500 is approximately 450°C.
Excellent machinability: easy to die-cut and CNC-cut, ensuring precision even for complex geometries.
High resistance to high temperatures and pressures: Flat graphite gaskets are suitable for use in applications requiring high resistance to temperatures and pressures, as well as good chemical resistance.
Operating temperature: up to +450°C, depending on fluid type, pressure and the applied load.
