Expanded graphite sheets with a metal mesh insert and an external polymer film coating.
FLEXIGRAF UNIMETAL is a gasketing sheet for flat gaskets made from pure expanded mineral graphite, reinforced with a metal mesh insert and coated with an external polymer film. The composition, based on pure graphite and reinforced by the metal mesh, offers improved mechanical strength. Ideal for use with high-temperature saturated steam and chemicals, provided the environment is non-oxidising.
Ideal for applications involving low to medium chemical aggressiveness (saturated steam, industrial oils, hot water, non-acidic technical gases); less suitable for use in highly corrosive environments (chlorides, strong acids) and high-pressure applications.
High thermal resistance: graphite is known for its electrical conductivity and low thermal conductivity, making it suitable for applications involving high-temperature saturated steam. The ideal maximum operating temperature for FLEXIGRAF UNIMETAL is approximately 450°C.
Superior stability and flexibility: the metal mesh layer provides greater mechanical strength to the structure, increasing the stability and sealing performance of the gasket, thereby enhancing its performance in the most demanding applications.
Excellent workability: easy to die-cut and CNC-cut, ensuring precision even for complex geometries.
High resistance to high temperatures and pressures: Reinforced graphite flat gaskets are suitable for use in applications requiring high resistance to temperatures and pressures, as well as good chemical resistance.
Operating temperature: up to +450°C, depending on fluid type, pressure and the applied load.
